Observation

Not all new staff files were onsite or sent by HR to the Director. No record was available to know who currently has been trained for medication policies and procedures. The Director was unsure who had and didn't have medication management training. Not all children with medications, had written consent from their parent or guardian. Not all files were complete or up to date for the new school year. One child had medication with a permission form from the previous year. One child had was missing prescription box for an epi pen and box and directions for Benadryl. The epi pen had no expiration date. Benadryl not in the original packaging, but loose in a zippy bag. Only one dosage observed in a metal wrapper. Children's medication in backpacks stored on the floor, viewed accessible to children.
