Observation

Medication is being stored in plastic bags in the first aid kits. The first aid kits were in the classroom where they were accessible to children, so the medications were accessible to children. Controlled substances were not in a locked container or cabinet, they were also stored in plastic bags in the first aid kits and were accessible to children. Both of these issues were corrected during the inspection today, first aid kits with emergency medication in them are being worn by staff or stored in a locked cabinet and the controlled substances were locked in a locked box in the locked cabinet.
