Observation

Based on the information gathered at the site visit, interviews with the staff, observation from the videos and law enforcement documentation, the licensor has determined that Marissa Kuhen did physically harm/injury several children in her classroom. The videos did show that she roughly handled the children, hit a child in the head, dropped them on the ground, couch and cot, grabbed them off of the climber and did cause one child's leg to fracture. Documentation does not support the allegation that Ms. Kuhen victimized a child to cause the child to self-penetrate his anus and be unusually upset during diaper changes. Based on the information gathered at the site visit, interviews with the child care staff, observations from the videos and law enforcement documentation, the licensor has determined that Marissa Kuhen did not protect children from other children in her classroom. These allegations were self-reported by the center's management.
