Observation

The provider self-reported a brief lapse in supervision. Staff reported systems for accounting for all children as they transitioned from the classroom to the playground. All children were accounted for when they entered the playground. One staff member was engaged with a parent dropping their child off. As the parent exited the playground, a child entered the classroom unnoticed. Once staff were aware the child was inside they responded immediately to make sure the child was okay and reported it to the supervisor. Parents and licensing were contacted to report the lapse in supervision.
