Observation

Staff reported using a blanket while rocking the child to sleep. Once the child fell asleep, staff went to place them in their crib. The infant was placed in the crib on their back with the blanket remaining underneath the child. Once this was brought to the director's attention, it was corrected. Safe Sleep information was reviewed with all infant staff. Staff were given the expectation to remove blankets prior to placing infants in the crib. The blankets will be stored in the child's basket on a shelf nearby. This information was gathered during the site inspection and child care staff interviews.
